Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct is designed to help ensure our conference provides a safe, welcoming and inclusive space and experience for all participants, whether they attend in person or online. We expect and encourage all participants to:
- Behave in a mutually respectful and thoughtful way
- Listen carefully to other people
- Be kind and courteous and not bullying or using hate speech
- Be mindful of how others might be feeling
- Be alert for cues that a person is uncomfortable with a situation or conversation and respond appropriately
- Respect other people’s privacy
- Be mindful of what images from the event are shared and in what context
If you experience or witness unacceptable behaviour at our event, please contact any of the Towards a National Collection directorate team in person, or email Sophie Dietrich, our Programme Coordinator, Sophie.dietrich@hes.scot
Any participant who is asked to stop unacceptable behaviour is expected to comply immediately. If they do not, we may ask them to leave the venue or we may remove their digital access to the event.
